Fundraising Congratulations to FPGHS members who helped with our fund raising. In 2009 we raised enough money for the induction and a fair bit extra for Special Olympics of Orange County, $1595 to be exact! Let's see how much we can raise for 2010. Watch this space for more info! The Frank Porter Graham Honor Society is hosting a wine tasting at The Wine Cellar this year. The tasting will offer a different selection of wines, so we hope you'll join us! The tastings are open to anyone 21 years or older. Danny makes a special effort to find great wines at affordable prices. Tickets are $15 per person. 7:30PM Saturday, January 23, 2010 - have more post-break fun, unwind with other graduate & professional students! 7:30PM Saturday, February 6, 2010 - just in time for Valentine's Day! 7:30PM Saturday, February 20, 2010 7:30PM Saturday, March 20, 2010 Gathering wine is served between 7:00 and 7:30pm, wine tasting begins promptly at 7:30pm 6 wines will be tasted in an organized but fun & interactive manner; cheese, crackers, and other snacks will also be served The Wine Cellar has generously agreed to host our fundraiser and donate $10 plus 10% of all the night's wine sales. Ticket proceeds will help to help cover the cost of our induction ceremony in the spring. All of the money raised from sale of wine, we will donate to The Special Olympics of Orange County! Come and join the fun and support FPGHS and SOOC! There are a limited number of tickets for each tasting, so if you're interested in attending be sure to reserve your spot ASAP. To reserve a spot, please email Patrick Smith with your name and the number of tickets you'd like; the cost is $15 per person, with payment collected at entry to the Wine Cellar.
